Hi Greta!

First of all I want to share that my blog has moved to my new website at www.marniwasserman.com - all of my latest posts will be here!

Now regarding cake, we didn't have a wedding cake. Cake isn't my think. We did vegan/gluten free ice cream cones and apple crumble instead. However Toronto has some amazing resources that will do a vegan wedding cake. LPK Culinary Groove and Sweets from the Earth are two places to start!

Yes of course! Experiment away. Spelt would be great with these, but if you wanted to keep them gluten free go for a quinoa or coconut flour for sure!

Sounds good. Marni, can brown rice flour be swapped for another type (i.e. spelt, arrowroot, coconut flour?) Brown rice isn't sitting well with me so I'm experimenting with other types of flours. Thanks.

Hi RonniLyn, you can use brown rice flour instead of Kamut. And Almond Pulp you can actually make yourself by making homemade almond milk or you can just as well use ground almond flour! Enjoy....it is delicious!

I can't wait to try this recipe...it sounds delicious and we've been looking for a good banana bread recipe. What gluten-free flour would be a good substitute for the kamut flour? And can I buy almond pulp at a health food store?

Happy belated birthday Marni! Thank you for all that you do...I have learned so much about having a healthy lifestyle from your blog and have been passing the knowledge on to my family. We all enjoy your recipes!
As for me, 2011 has been an amazing year because:
- I started running and ran my first 5k race
- I became vegetarian, adopted a mainly plant based diet with no processed foods, and have been cooking up a storm
- in the midst of it all, I took care of my second baby (he was born just before 2011 started), along with caring for my rambunctious 3 yr old

Happy Birthday Marni!!!

This year (since April) I lost 35lbs, not by dieting, but just by adopting a healthy, whole foods lifestyle. Your recipes, tips, and videos have been invaluable in my journey...in fact, I'm eating a bowl of your Squash-sational Minestrone Soup right now :D

Hope you have a great year, and keep up the great work!
